Building Trust Through Transparency: Our Commitment to FPIC

At SftFA, Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) is not just a principle — it is the foundation of every partnership we build.
Before any grazing plan is implemented, communities undergo extensive consultation processes where they are fully informed, actively involved, and free to make their own decisions without pressure.

Regular sessions.

SftFA has established grazing committees that include women, elders, and youth to ensure inclusive governance. Regular village meetings, feedback sessions, and updates keep trust and transparency at the forefront of all activities.
“Transparency is what builds true community ownership," emphasized one local coordinator.

Continous dialogue

Through ongoing dialogue and accountability, we are making sure that the future of the rangelands remains firmly in community hands.
