Clarifying Greenpeace Misinformation on Soil Carbon Projects

On May 6, 2025, Greenpeace Africa released a press statement titled “Kajiado communities resist carbon offset land grabs disguised as climate action.” In this release, they made several serious and misleading allegations against our organizations—Soils for the Future Africa, Soils for the Future Tanzania, and CarbonSolve—without prior consultation or verification.

We take these claims seriously and are committed to transparency, integrity, and genuine community engagement in all our projects. The accusations made in the statement are not only factually incorrect but also defamatory in nature, and appear intended to damage the reputation of parties involved in advancing sustainable climate solutions through soil carbon initiatives.

We urge the public, partners, and stakeholders to read our full response for clarity and context.
