GRAZING BLOCKS MONITORING AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.
Data collection, grazing blocks monitoring, and active engagement of grazing committees remain a cornerstone in the development of the carbon project. In collaboration with the Climate Asset Management team, Soil for the Future Africa conducted visits to both the Eselenkei and Olgulului/Olalarashi grazing committees as some of the project areas.
The teams later toured one of the grazing blocks that had recently been opened to livestock in early September.
During the visit, we witnessed the remarkable positive changes taking place since both communities began working with Soil for the Future Africa.
These changes are largely attributed to the rapid rotational grazing management plan, which has significantly transformed rangeland conditions and livestock practices.
The visible progress demonstrates how structured grazing systems not only restore ecosystems but also strengthen community led natural resource governance ensuring long-term sustainability and direct benefits to the people.
