Strengthening Cross-Border Partnerships for Land Restoration

At Soils for the Future Africa (SftFA), we are proud to collaborate closely with our sister organization, Soils for the Future Tanzania, as part of a regional effort to restore rangeland health and strengthen climate resilience across East Africa.

In Kajiado County, Kenya, SftFA is leading a public-private partnership (PPP) soil carbon project in collaboration with local Group Ranches. Together, we are designing and implementing community-led rotational grazing programs that regenerate degraded lands, enhance soil carbon storage, and create sustainable livelihoods through carbon financing.

This cross-border initiative reflects our deep commitment to science-based, community-driven land restoration — empowering pastoralists, protecting ecosystems, and securing a resilient future for generations to come.
