KRCP PROJECT AREAS CONSULTATIVE ENGAGEMENT MEETINGS.

Soil for the Future Africa hosted a National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) field engagement within the Kajiado rangelands Carbon Project area, reinforcing a shared commitment to sustainable rangeland management, climate change mitigation, and community-driven conservation.

The visit focused on community consultations and on-the-ground learning across grazing blocks under the carbon credits programed, where controlled grazing systems are being implemented to restore degraded landscapes, improve soil health, and enhance biodiversity.

The engagement brought together NEMA officials, Kajiado County Government representatives, group ranches and conservancy leadership, community members, including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), grazing coordinators, and local conservation stakeholders, highlighting inclusive participation in environmental governance and stewardship.

Key discussions centered on sustainable grazing practices, ecosystem restoration, and the role of community-led initiatives in supporting long-term climate resilience.

This activity reflects ongoing collaboration between Soil for the Future Africa, NEMA, and Kajiado County Government in advancing environmental compliance, restoration efforts, and nature-based climate solutions within the Kajiado rangelands.
